Ota Public 太田駅北口駅前文化交流施設プロポーザル Library, Museum, Competition Ota, Gunma, 2014
太田駅北口駅前に図書館と美術館を併設した文化交流施設のプロポーザル案。「図書館」「美術館」「市民ホール」といった従来の「カテゴリー」の概念ではなく、「有機農業」「ポップアート」「コーヒー」といった「テーマ」をベースに空間の並べ替えを提案しました。街路の延長のような不揃いな一体空間の中に、様々な家具や小さな部屋の集合で「テーマ」ごとに図書や美術が散りばめられます。様々な素材の集積でできた天井が、場所によって色や素材の密度を変え、場所性を生み出すような、インテリアと都市をつなぐ空間を作ることを目指しました。
This is a competition for Public Building in front of Ota Station including library and museum, we proposed “Theme” based space such as “Organic Agriculture””Pop Art”or”Coffee” not “Category” based such as “Library””Museum””Hall”. In the irregular one big space, we put various type of furniture, shelfs or small houses to display the “themes”. Only the unique ceiling with many colors and materials creates the feeling of each spaces controlling the density or color, this was our trial to create new type of space to connect Interior and the City directory.
