国際センター駅北地区複合施設プロポーザル応募案。大ホールのステージと小ホール、多目的に活用される練習室をひとつながりの空間としてつなげ、通常は裏であるバックステージが新しい空間となることを目指しました。エントランス、ホワイエ、屋内プラザは公園側の美しいランドスケープと一体となり、1〜3階まで多様な吹き抜け等でつながりを持つ立体的で自由な空間を形成しています。震災ミュージアムはこの施設の地下から屋上までを貫くように設置され、館内どこからでも視認できるよう、施設の核と位置付けました。それらの多様な要素が、「サークル/円」の集合体として形づくられています。泡や雲と同様の自然界の原理によって、敷地周辺の環境に溶け込むことを目指しました。

Sendai International Center Station Cultural Complex competition. We Proposed to connect the backstage of Large Hall, Small Hall and multi purpose practice room with flexible door to create new experience on the back side of the project, to maximize the potential of the space in the project. The entrance, Foyer and the inner plaza are connected with the landscape of the park in front of the building, with a lot of voids as a one big space from GF to 3F. And we put the memorial museum and workshops from BF to RF as a core of this project, every facilities on the building will be with the memorial elements since the project is in Sendai city. These different spaces integrated with circle/bubble shape geometries as a nature principle not like an artificial building to make the project a part of nature of the site.

重要港湾尾道糸崎港内港地区三原旅客ターミナルのプロポーザル応募案。ターミナルビルを単体でデザインするのではなく、港湾を囲む港湾沿いのエリア全体に多様な使われ方のできる小さなオブジェクトを散りばめた提案です。ターミナルの建設が、街と港湾を一体化させる、三原ならではの新しいアーバンデザインとなることを目指しました。

ミシュランビブグルマンに毎年選出されるなど人気店となった代官山falòの2号店が、2023年に完成した虎ノ門ヒルズステーションタワー4階の飲食店フロアにオープンしました。「焚き火イタリアン」として、炭火台の火を囲んだカウンターのみという代官山店のスタイルを受け継ぎながら、虎ノ門のコンテクストに合わせた全く異なる空間の形を提案しています。火を囲んで皆で食事する体験を生みながらもテーブル席のように同席者とより親密な関係を作るバブル型カウンターと、炭火台やガスレンジ上の排気フードを隠すための段々型の塊天井が特徴です。「洞窟の中で火を焚いて肉を焼いて食べる」といったプリミティブな食体験をコンセプトとした代官山店同様、店内は内外壁と天井を木毛セメント板で覆いつくし、店舗サインも木毛セメント板の外壁にステンシル（型取りスプレー）で制作しています。

The 2nd restaurant of Daikanyama falò, which has become a popular restaurant and has been selected as a Michelin Bib Gourmand every year, has opened on the 4th floor of Toranomon Hills Station Tower, which was completed in 2023. While inheriting the Daikanyama falò’s style of ”Bonfire Italian” with only a counter surrounded by a charcoal grill, we are proposing a completely different space shape that suits the Toranomon context. A bubble-shaped counter that creates the experience of eating together around a fire while also creating a more intimate relationship with those seated at a table, as well as a terraced block ceiling that hides the exhaust hood over the charcoal grill and gas range. It is characterized by Similar to the Daikanyama falò, which has the concept of a primitive dining experience such as ”burning a fire and grilling meat in a cave”, the inside and outside walls and ceiling of the store are completely covered with wood wool cement boards, and the store sign is also made on the wood wool cement boards wall by stencil.

新年のご挨拶を申し上げます

昨年は大変お世話になりました。2024年元旦に発生した能登半島地震、関連して発生した羽田空港の事故と悲しい年明けとなりました。被害に遭われた方々のご無事を祈ると共に、犠牲になってしまった方への哀悼の意を表します。

昨年は、長年取り組んでおりました初の単著『POP URBANISM 屋台・マーケットがつくる都市』を学芸出版社より発売することができました。変化の時代において、仮設的にでも、屋台のような小さなビジネスが集まり、都市の中で新しい場を形成しているということを、そしてそのような動きが同時多発的に世界各国で起こっているということを36の事例と共にまとめた本です。是非お手にとっていただけたら幸いです。

そのような研究と連動し、設計活動の実践としても、表参道にフードトラックと単管足場等で仮説的な場を作ったB-Flat COMMUNEをつくることができました。こちらは2年限定のプロジェクトで、新しい流動的な商業のあり方を模索したものです。

また、昨年建築が竣工して話題となりました虎ノ門ヒルズステーションタワーの4階の飲食店フロアに入るfalo+（代官山faloの2号店）も年末に竣工いたしました。店舗のオープンは2024年1月16日です。是非足をお運びください。

Greeting for the new year 2024

July 1st 2024 There was a big earthquake in Hokuriku, Japan and an incident in Haneda Airport related rescue mission. We hope they are safe and would like to express our condolences for the people who lost lives in the disasters.

Last year, Ko Nakamura published “POP URBANISM” from Gakugei Publishing which is describing a new movement of micro urbanism to assemble people by correcting small businesses such as food trucks or markets in the world. 盛況のうちに幕を閉じた表参道COMMUNEの次世代プロジェクト。時間貸し駐車場として使用していた東京・表参道の土地に、全て建設現場で使用する仮設資材を使った屋外型の期間限定文化・商業複合施設を計画しました。単管足場やエアードーム、工事用照明等、短時間で撤去・移設が容易なものの集合体として、カルチャーの生まれる渋谷ならではの場としてデザインしています。さまざまな人と活動を受け入れられるように、店舗のサインやグラフィック、多量の植栽（プランター）と、単管足場、テント、ライン照明が絡み合った「仮設的な混沌性」の空間を目指しました。

We designed a new COMMUNE organized by Flow Stone Company and IDÉE Universal with the time-sharing car parking company B-FLAT in Omotesando, Tokyo. Using only temporary structure, which is scaffolding, air dome as a fold-able roof of the space, lighting for the construction site combined with a lot of greens and shop’s sign & graphics, we tried to activate the irregularly shaped vacant property. This kind of temporary-ness with participants’ characters, sense of freedom and flexibility to keep changing the space must create a new culture in the city.

多面体と立体迷路
私道と公道の2つの道路に挟まれた敷地環境を読み、三角形のポケットパークを持つ多面体形状の木造3階建住宅の計画。防火地域を形成する近隣の幹線道路の角度で住宅を切断し（防火地域にかかることによるコスト増となることを避けるため）、駐車スペースをとりつつ上階の面積を確保するために1階部分を斜めに切断、2つの道路からの斜線制限で屋根を切断、3回の切断で多面体の建物形状が生まれました。2つの道路からのアプローチをそれぞれ住宅サイドとギャラリーサイドに分け、1階のギャラリーとそのバックヤードを住宅の裏動線と兼用するストレージ空間として計画、2階はキッチンとおにぎり型の大テーブルを中心とした生活を集約したワンルーム空間として計画、3階は寝室を扉や天井で仕切らずゆるやかに分節した立体迷路的な遊びのある空間として計画しています。1階はパブリックとプライベートの混合、2階は家族のためのパブリックスペースとして、3階は家族のプライベートスペースの公共化、といったように、少しずつ形を変えながらグラデーションのある住宅の公共化を試みました。

Reading the site context which is connecting 2 roads, we have 2 different approaches from each road as house entrance and the gallery entrance. The 1st floor has a gallery to introduce publicness into the private house and the backyard of the gallery is also used as a family’s backyard as storage, closet and bathroom. The 2nd floor is common rooms for family and their friends, then the 3rd floor has 3 open bedrooms connected with lofts.

富山県の3人家族のための住宅。敷地面積は大きいものの、駐車台数も多く求められる環境のため、庭を広く使いながら将来の拡張の核となるような「小屋」的な住宅として設計を行いました。建設コストを抑えるために2.7mグリッドで全て同じ構造部材を使用し、天井高も抑える部分と複数の吹き抜けをとる部分とでメリハリをつけ、1・2階がゆるやかにつながるような計画です。結果として建築のボリュームが1.5層ほどの高さの小屋のようになり、屋外の庭も含めた生活と将来的な増築に備えた拠点のような住宅を目指しました。

The site was large in a rural context but needed a lot of car parking. In the center of the site we proposed to have a small hut as a core of future extensions using the rest of space as a large garden. To reduce the building cost, all the span is 2.7m to use the same dimension of the columns and beams, and put 3 holes to connect ground floor and upper floor. Floor height is smaller than average, total 1.5 stories small house but the windows are designed for future expansion.

地域密着型アートラボのインテリアデザイン・プロポーザル応募案。

与えられた躯体の中央に吹き抜け及び大階段を設け、地上階と2階を一体的につなぎ、建物内のあちこちで自主的な芸術活動が行われるような、市民に使い倒されるような参加型アートラボを構想しました。あちこちに小さな活動コーナーが埋め込まれ、同時に展示スペースもあちこちに散らばります。逆に展示室の外型の、いわば廊下のような共用部をホワイトキューブと見立て、従来とは構成を反転させることで、市民の自由な創作活動が、アートラボ全体に常に溢れ変えるような構成を提案しています。

An interior proposal competition entry for Art Lab.

We proposed to have a void and stairs in the center of the building to connect the ground floor and 2nd floor to support citizen’s creative activities. The core idea is to make the public space such as a corridor or stairs resemble white cube which is normally applied for the exhibition space. It makes the citizen’s work to be an artist’s work, and their work will be exhibited everywhere in the museum to encourage their creativity as a local art center.

自由が丘の駅前の、様々な商業テナントがひしめき合う自由が丘デパート3階にオープンした、レストランバー「まーに」のインテリアデザインを手掛けました。手打ちパスタと糠漬け（発酵食材を使用した様々な料理）をメインとし、カウンターを囲む８席のみの小さな店舗ながら、女将が本場イタリアンレストラン仕込みの本格的な料理を提供します。

カウンターの位置を通常と逆にし、廊下を歩く人々が窓越しに女将の仕事を見ることができるようにし、閉じた作りながら中の雰囲気を外からでも味わえるように設計しました。また、躯体の天井高さが十分あったため、小さい店内の中央上部に雲形の「穴」を空け、周りの下り天井部分（CH1950に抑えています）との対比で、「穴」を囲んで店内が一体となるようなデザインです。「穴」は照明を仕込んだ乳半のアクリル板で、内部は収納となっているため、カウンター主体の店舗にありがちなカウンター内外を仕切る吊り戸棚を不要とし、カウンターで女将と話をしながら飲食を楽しむ体験を重視しました。内外の壁面はラワン有孔ボードで、暗めの色彩としており、カウンター中央に視線が集中するように設計されています。ファサードの壁面は凹凸のついたグレートーンで、自由が丘デパートの雑多性を引き受け、エントランス引き戸の開口側のみ屋内の木壁面と同色とすることで、扉を開けた時から素材が中に連続していくことを意図しています。

早稲田大学小林恵吾研究室、佐賀大学宮原真美子研究室と協働で、瀬戸内国際芸術祭2022の会期に合わせ、小豆島坂手の「小豆島ハウス」（設計：木内俊克+砂山太一/砂木）前の路地にて、フードトラックを営業する予定です。

また、合わせて中村航によるプロジェクトレポートの連載「小豆島にフードトラックをつくる」が新建築オンラインで始まりました。隔週月曜日に更新予定です。合わせてご覧ください。

東京鶯谷の小さなホテルの計画。既存ホテルの隣地に新館を建て、カフェ・SPAと6室の客室からなる複合的で、街の歴史を反映する文化的な環境を創り出すことを目指しています。5階建てのボリュームを層ごとにずらし、段々状にセットバックすることで、道路斜線を避けながら最大のボリュームを確保し、かつ前面道路に最大限の空間（空）を確保しました。将来的に既存棟も建て直すことを想定し、本館と新館の間に設けた敷地内通路を将来計画の「道」として設計しています。まるで小さな街をつくるように、その道が、複数の客室棟をつなぎ、新しいエントランスを形成します。

小さい敷地ながら、5階建てのビルは客室の入る段々形状の棟と、エレベータ・避難階段・各階リネン室・設備配管を内包する棟の2つに分けられ、「道」が立体化してそれらをつなぎます。各階エレベーターホールでは、2つの棟の外壁仕上げ（コンクリート打ち放しと、レンガのボリューム）が出会い、ビルとビルの間にいるような感覚をもたらします。そうして屋内外を出入りするような感覚は、街を歩く経験に近く、鶯谷という歴史的な都市性を建築に埋め込むことを目指しました。

客室は、それぞれ異なるプランで、赤、紺、黄色、緑、ピンク、グレーといった色をベースにデザインされています。客室は異なる色を配した落ち着く空間、SPAは木毛セメント板に囲まれた固く静寂感のある空間、カフェは壁面全面を映像を流すLEDパネルを設置し、床壁をタイルで構成した賑やかで音と映像に溢れた空間を作り出しています。

This is the hotel project in Uguisudani, Tokyo.The 5 stories new building has 6 guest rooms, SPA and cafe as an extension of the original hotel which has 15 rooms. We stacked the blocks like staircase to create space in front of the building on the narrow street, and make new street in between the building and next for future re-construction of the original hotel building.

The site is very small, but we designed the building like small 2 towers for the guest house rooms and EV/Staircase and MEP tower. Then “the street” connects 2 towers such as Tokyo’s local cityscape called “roji”, to provide the experience to walk around the neighborhood to respect local context.

The guest rooms has different floor plan and color such as red, blue, yellow, green, pink and grey to make the rooms character, SPA and Cafe has specific identity of the space too. Cafe has big lED screen wall to make the space vibrant, and the graphics on the screen create cultural atmosphere.

Collective of Culture and People
This proposal for the National Museum of Korean Literature (NMKL) respects how the Korean Literature has been thought with. It is about a many different aspects of Korean Cultures including society, history, context, people, experience or emotion etc. This Museum should be designed to provide a place all-inclusive these fragments of things. And it should have all kind of activities into one place together.

To realize this, the FIELD as a natural landscape or an internal plaza, and the CLOUD as a collective of fragmented small roofs create all-inclusive place and make everything together. This is a place for collective Korean Cultures and people.

人と文化が集まる丘
文化・社会・歴史・人・経験や感情といった、韓国の文学がこれまで扱って来た多様なカルチャーの断片が散りばめられた丘を、韓国文学館として提案しました。山の麓の傾斜のある敷地を登る丘と、その上にかかる多くの屋根が、人々が気軽に訪れ滞在することができ、様々な活動を生み出し、その中で少しの学びがあるような包容力を持った文化と人のための建築です。

オーシャンビューの望める敷地に建つ住宅です。隣地建物を避けるために、1階は変形柱のピロティとし、2階に寝室及びサンルーム、3階にテラスと一体となったパノラマウインドウのリビング・ダイニングと露天風呂という構成。1・2階が鉄筋コンクリート造で、3階のみ木造とし、ビューのとれる3階の床面積を最も大きくするために木のボリュームを張り出しています。

Marissa Duplex Apartment
Proposal for the Competition

サウジアラビアの郊外都市の集合住宅計画。富裕層をターゲットとしたメゾネットタイプの高級住宅で、限られた面積・高さ・階数制限の中、最大限の居住スペースをとることをとを求められた。3方道路に面した道路側に建物を寄せ、コートヤード型の円形ボリュームとすることで、街区の真ん中にモニュメンタルに建つ配置計画とした。建物を取り囲む広場を幾何学のパターンで覆いつくし、それが住戸内のプランを構成する。全ての住戸には吹き抜けと、複数の軒の深いバルコニーを設け（リビングスペース及びほとんどの寝室が専用のバルコニーを持つ）、またコートヤードにも様々な居場所を作るなど、屋外での生活を楽しめるような工夫を盛り込んだ。それらのバルコニーの落とす影が、建物のファサードとなる。

This is the proposal for the Duplex Apartment Competition in Saudi Arabia. Since the main target was the wealthy class, we tried to put maximized rich & efficient space in the limited footprint and height restriction. The layout of the building is arranged like standing alone in the urban block with rounded shape to create a landmark and new plaza. Patterns inspired by the local culture consists all landscape pattern and housing layout. Each rooms has own balconies to enjoy the outside life with shadow by inclined eaves which is also became the building facade.
